Muy Loco Salvation Extreme
Demon shattered, I'd lost my way.
Mentally tapped, coming unwrapped,
I tossed my heart into the devil's fray.
Like spiders they invaded my mind,
Weaving my thoughts to their own design.
Busted, mistrusted, nowhere to turn,
I put my heart on hold and tried to desperately learn
How to make my own life return.
The Word of Christ made me rage with strife,
Of unquenched pleasure, my thoughts were rife.
Would there be a hero to offset my zero?
The job had no takers.
For years I hid before I knew how to live.
I stayed trapped in a tower locked away by sin
Until the door was knocked down by God's champions.
Can you be a Champion?
A hand in the dark?
One who stands for God when others depart?
Is your faith a light to show them the way?
Wanna be God's Champion? You have to pray.
The devil had ensnared thousands of sheep,
Beating back the ones daring to creep.
Just like me, they feared to see
The greatness of God's love.
Faithful Champions stayed on watch,
Love undaunted no matter the cost.
Like a mountain moving an inch at a time,
Back and forth, like a staggering rhyme,
The changes came extremely slow,
But when new ways come, the old must GO!
Can you be God's Champion?
A hand in the dark?
One who stands for God when others depart?
Can you show them hope
when all hope is gone?
Can you take the weak and help them be strong?
Christ's light one day came shining through,
I could see His Word and know it was true.
The prayers of God's Champions helped dust the webs from my head.
Without them on their knees, I know I'd be dead.
You can toss a rope in the pit, but I'm sure you'll find
It works much better when you teach them to climb.
Healed by God, I'd found the way.
Jesus Christ could have His say.
The Word of Christ is the peace in my life,
Sound thoughts abound, I love what's right.
I'll spend my years helping others beat sin,
I'd like to be one of God's Champions.
Lord, help me be your Champion
A hand in the dark
Help me take a stand when others depart.
Help me spread the light that shows Your way.
Oh Lord, thank you, Jesus, thank you, for the grace to simply pray.
